About Mary

Mary’s back ground is in nursing. To fit work around family life Mary decided on a career change and trained as a massage therapist when her children were young.

Being a keen runner Mary soon found out how effective Sports Massage can be and trained as a Sport Massage Therapist. The most rewarding part of her work is successfully treating people involved in sports, working or simply from the stresses and strains of daily life. However, she also enjoys providing the more relaxing treatments such as reflexology or therapeutic massage which can help reduce stress and tension.

Qualifications

Main qualifications are an HND Complementary Therapies and a level 4 Diploma in Sports Massage.

During lockdown in 2022, qualified as a Level 3 Pilates Teacher.

Keeping up to date with the latest practice is very important and Mary is continually learning and completes regular CPD.

Interests‍ ‍

Interests include running, fitness, nutrition and family. Mary is enthusiastic about running and regularly compete in road, track and cross country races.

The most exciting running event was the 2024 European Masters Indoor Track Championship where she competed in the 400m and 800m in her age group.
