What do I wear for a massage treatment? For legs and lower body shorts are a good idea. A cover is placed over you and only the area being massaged is uncovered.
Is massage therapy suitable for every one? Not always. Occasionally there may be a need to check with your health care provider depending on certain medical conditions. This is to ensure safe treatment.
What’s the difference between Sports Massage and Therapeutic Massage? Sports Massage treats areas where there is tension in muscles for example the hamstrings in a runner. Therapeutic Massage is very soothing with flowing massage techniques. The main aim is too create relaxation and a feeling of wellbeing.
Is Reflexology different from massage ? Reflexology uses pressure techniques applied to the feet, using the thumb and fingers similar to acupressure.
Is it okay to talk during a massage? It’s best to try and relax during a massage therapy treatment. It’s fine to keep the conversation on what you are feeling and the massage it’s self.
What do I need to do after the massage? Drink some water to rehydrate and find time to relax to get the most benefit from your treatment.
